Turning the Tables: Tirana Connectivity Forum 2025 Report

The 11th edition of the Tirana Connectivity Forum (TCF2025) took place at a time of global uncertainty and renewed geopolitical competition, as the EU and its Member States intensified efforts to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, security, and defence. Against this backdrop, the South East Europe 6 (SEE6) have accelerated reforms under the Growth Plan and regional cooperation towards the Common Regional Market, reaffirming their commitment to full EU membership.

Built upon “Turning the Tables” concept, TCF2025 focused on the added value of SEE6 to the European Union. For two days, policymakers, civil society representatives, international partners, and business leaders discussed on how to chart new pathways for ever closer cooperation. Defence and foreign policy leaders reaffirmed the region’s role as a security provider to Europe’s southern flank, while economic experts explored how SEE6 can boost Europe’s competitiveness through innovation, connectivity, and sustainable growth. Media experts highlighted the fact that the next EU enlargement is not only about reforms and procedures, but also about communicating its purpose and benefits to EU citizens and businesses.

The TCF2025 Report captures these insights and concrete recommendations, underscoring that SEE6 countries are no longer peripheral actors but proactive partners shaping a more resilient, competitive, and cohesive Europe.
