Tirana Connectivity Forum 2022 and European Year of Youth 2022

2022 is the European Year of Youth (EYY) and Tirana is holding the title of European Youth Capital this year. Given these two important happenings, this 8th edition of the Tirana Connectivity Forum will pay special attention to youth and their perspectives on policy-making and Enlargement. Youth in the region is not only a beneficiary of EU funding and policies but also the owner of the common European future and shaper of EU policies and programs.
TCF is one of the few events in Albania to be featured in the EYY calendar among others from all over Europe.

About EYY 2022
The European Year of Youth is bringing more opportunities to learn, share the vision, meet people and engage in activities all over Europe. The belief is that European youth can build a better future – greener, more inclusive and digital and this is the moment to move forward with confidence and hope from a post-pandemic perspective.

Tirana Youth Capital 2022 (TEYC2022)
The title of European Youth Capital is awarded to one European city every year by the European Youth Forum designed to empower young people, boost youth participation and strengthen European identity in the cities.
Under the slogan ‘Activate Youth’, Tirana European Youth Capital for 2022 encourages active participation focusing on the needs of young people today and tomorrow through a 100 activities programme aimed at promoting volunteerism, empowering youth organisations, and creating networks and synergies among young people from all over Europe!

TEYC’2022 and CDI
Earlier this year the National Youth Congress (NYC) and Cooperation and Development Institute (CDI) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation agreeing on the participation of TEYC 2022 in the 8th edition of the Tirana Connectivity Forum (TCF) and to further strengthen and intensify cooperation between the parties in the implementation of the program “Tirana European Youth Capital 2022”. Participation in the TCF22 is part of the larger context of previous cooperation initiatives that aim to support young people to become partners in reforms, democratic processes, and European integration.
